Description

The NHFA uses social work knowledge and skills, and evidence-based research as a foundation of comprehensive, community case management. The NHFA has proved highly effective in meeting the needs of over 4,000 very low income inner city children and their families. The neighborhoods where these children live have the highest rates of unemployment for males over 16; the highest levels of female headed households with children living below the poverty level; clustering of blighted properties; highest crime rates and the largest concentration of African-American and Hispanic families in New Haven _
